[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Hi All:

Here is what I have found works - first you have to have a website like Photobucket where you store your images - you go there and click on the direct link - it will copy - you come back here and click on the tab above that says Image - 2nd row above 4th from the left - it will open you paste in the link you just copied from Photobucket and press okay you will have an image like above the black kitty

    ------

Another way and this is the way I do it and it's a bit more steps - I scan the card for example - then I save it on my desktop - then I transfer it to my Photobucket, then I transfer it to my Email Inbox and then I copy and paste it here - because that way I am not stealing what they call bandwaves and a site can be shut down if you do that - so now below I will show you the green apple below I've saved via desktop - photobucket - email inbox - copied and pasted here

I thought I would take a moment and try to explain how you can post your image - I hope this has helped

I don't quite understand what you mean by "stealing bandwaves".

Everything runs on bandwidth. The bigger the site, the more bandwidth it needs. Pictures take up a lot of bandwidth, especially if they're high resolution jpeg files (or png). Sites usually have a bandwidth limit; if your site goes over that limit, the site shuts down for over capacity.

I can't find a bandwidth limit on our forums, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I do, however, recall seeing "free unlimited"...so I think we're okay for the moment.

Thank you so much Charlotte for explaining that about bandwaves

I get confused with it - why I started saving my things to my own website and copy and pasting that way is if you copy from someone's website and transfer it around the owner of the website can get quite annoyed - never understood it all except that is why I save to my own site or photobucket and then I am not in danger of doing something wrong

Again Charlotte thanks for explaining to Grey Mere cause I wasn't sure how to explain

I think it is free storage here, thought I read that too, maybe that's why a lot of the stuff is public & allows for more storage - just a thought

    Blessings

I need to learn how to resize things. sometimes the things one pulls off the web are BIG. On the other hand, that's better than a card image so tiny these old eyes can't really see much.

You're welcome, Scamphill! Glad I could help.

Grey Mere, you'll have to resize before you upload your photo to your hosting site (Photobucket or wherever), or before you email your photo to yourself to copy and paste. There's no option to resize on this site while attaching the photos (unfortunately). Hope this helps!
